These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding agreement between RV Nest and users of the platform,
including renters, RV owners, and any other users of the service. By accessing this website or booking an RV
rental through RV Nest, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Business & Legal Setup
By accessing this website or booking an RV rental through , you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between “customer”, “renter” and RV NEST.
- RV Nest is a duly registered Canadian business, compliant with applicable federal and provincial legislation.
- GST/HST registered — applicable taxes are applied to all transactions in accordance with Canadian tax
- All users must accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy upon accessing the platform.
- RV Nest holds commercial insurance coverage appropriate to its rental marketplace operations.
- Rental agreement templates are provided and must be signed digitally prior to vehicle handover.
- Cancellation and refund policies are outlined in Section 9 of these Terms.

RV Owner / Host Obligations
- Government-issued ID verification is required for all hosts listing an RV on the platform.
- Proof of legal ownership of the listed vehicle must be submitted, including VIN verification.
- Valid RV insurance coverage must be maintained and verified before any listing goes live.
- Up-to-date vehicle maintenance records must be kept and made available upon request.
- Annual safety inspections must be completed before an RV is listed or re-listed each season.

Customer / Renter Verification
- A valid driver's licence recognized in Alberta, Canada is required to rent any vehicle.
- Secondary government-issued identification must be provided at the time of verification.
- Security deposit authorization is required at the time of booking.
- A signed rental agreement must be completed via digital signature prior to pickup.
- Driving history screening is conducted as part of the eligibility process.
- Valid payment details must pass platform verification before a booking is confirmed.

RV Safety & Compliance
- A functional, in-date fire extinguisher must be present and accessible inside the vehicle.
- Working smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors must be installed and tested.
- Brakes and tires must pass a current safety inspection before each rental period.
- The propane system must be inspected and certified safe prior to listing.
- The onboard generator must be in proper working order and documented.
- All emergency exits must be functional and compliant with applicable safety codes

Booking & Documentation Process
- A booking confirmation email is issued to both parties upon successful reservation.
- All rental agreements are executed digitally and require electronic signature before pickup.
- Pickup and return inspection forms must be completed by both parties at each handover.
- Photo and/or video documentation of the vehicle's condition is required at pickup and return.
- Any incident during the rental period must be reported through RV Nest's incident reporting process without delay.

Insurance & Liability
- Renters are required to hold valid liability coverage for the full duration of the rental period.
- Collision and theft protection is available and may be required depending on the rental agreement.
- Roadside assistance coverage is included or available as an add-on, subject to the rental agreement.
- Cross-border travel outside Canada requires prior written approval and insurance confirmation.
- In the event of damage, renters must follow RV Nest's damage claim workflow. Costs not covered by insurance remain the renter's responsibility.

Pickup & Return Checklist
- Fuel level must be recorded at pickup and matched upon return; shortfalls will be charged.
- Mileage is documented at both pickup and return; excess mileage charges apply per the rental agreement.
- A full vehicle damage inspection must be conducted and signed off by both parties at each handover.
- Waste tank levels must be checked and emptied by the renter prior to return.
- Generator usage hours must be recorded at pickup and return.
- The renter must complete a customer orientation and safety briefing before departing with the vehicle
We reserve the right to terminate a rental immediately in case of misuse.

Platform Operational Policies
- Security Deposit: A refundable deposit is required at booking and may be applied toward damages, cleaning fees, late return penalties, or unpaid charges.
- Cleaning: The RV must be returned in a clean condition; excessive cleaning requirements will be charged to the renter
- Mileage: Mileage limits apply per rental agreement; excess mileage is charged at the applicable per-kilometre rate.
- Pet & Smoking: Policies are set by the RV owner and disclosed at listing; violations may result in deposit forfeiture.
- Late Returns: Late returns incur additional daily or hourly charges as outlined in the rental agreement.
- Dispute Resolution: All disputes are subject to RV Nest's dispute resolution procedures; RV Nest's decision in facilitated disputes is final.

Data Privacy & Security
- RV Nest complies with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy legislation in all data handling practices.
- All personal documents and user data are stored using encrypted systems.
- Payment processing is handled through PCI-DSS compliant third-party processors.
- Access to personal data is restricted on a role-based basis; all system activity is subject to audit logging.

Governing Law & Third-Party Services
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
- RV Nest uses trusted third-party providers for payments (Stripe / Moneris), digital contracts (DocuSign /PandaDoc), and identity verification.
- We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Automated document management and incident tracking systems are used to support platform operations.
- RV Nest is not responsible for failures, delays, or policy changes arising from third-party service providers.
